About Orders

How do I place an order?

Placing an order is simple:

  1. Browse our catalog and select the item(s) you want.
  2. Click "Add to Cart" on the product page.
  3. When you are ready, click the cart icon and select "Checkout."
  4. Enter your shipping information and select a payment method.
  5. Review your order summary and click "Place Order."

You will receive an order confirmation email shortly after placing your order. Please note that this confirmation is an acknowledgment of receipt — your order is officially accepted once you receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.


Can I modify my order after placing it?

We process orders quickly, but you may request modifications (including shipping address, payment method, or item changes) within 2 hours of placing your order.

To request a modification, contact us immediately at info@homestylefurnitureofastoria.com with your order number.

After 2 hours, your order may enter our fulfillment process and modifications may no longer be possible.


Can I cancel my order?

Yes, you may cancel your order within 2 hours of placement, provided it has not yet been shipped. To cancel, contact us at info@homestylefurnitureofastoria.com with your order number.

If your order has already shipped, you will need to follow our Refunds & Returns Policy to initiate a return once the item is delivered.


What do the order statuses mean?

Processing — Your order has been received and is being prepared for shipment. Please allow 1–3 business days for processing.

Shipped — Your order has been dispatched and is on its way. You will receive a shipping confirmation email with tracking information.

Delivered — The carrier has confirmed delivery of your order to the designated address.

Cancelled — Your order has been cancelled either by your request or due to a verification issue. A refund will be issued if payment was already processed.


Will I receive an email confirmation?

Yes. You will receive:

  • An order confirmation email immediately after placing your order.
  • A shipping confirmation email with tracking details once your order ships.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept the following payment methods:

When is my card charged?

Your payment method is charged at the time you place your order. Please note that an authorization hold may appear on your account before the order ships, but the actual charge is processed upon order placement.


Why was my payment declined?

Payment declines can occur for several reasons:

  • Incorrect card number, expiration date, or CVV.
  • Insufficient funds or credit limit reached.
  • Billing address does not match what your bank has on file.
  • Your bank flagged the transaction for security reasons.

What to do:

  1. Double-check all payment information entered.
  2. Ensure your card has sufficient funds.
  3. Contact your bank or card issuer to authorize the transaction.
  4. Try a different payment method.

What will appear on my credit card statement?

Your statement will show a charge under the name "Home Style Furniture of Astoria" (or an abbreviated version). We recommend keeping your order confirmation email for reference.


Do you offer installment payment plans?

We do not currently offer in-house installment plans. However, Shop Pay Installments may be available at checkout if eligible. This is handled entirely by Shop Pay and is subject to their terms.


My bank shows a charge, but my order was not confirmed. What happened?

Sometimes your bank places a temporary authorization hold even if the payment did not complete successfully. These holds are controlled by your bank and typically disappear within 3–10 business days.

If you see a charge but did not receive an order confirmation email, please contact us at info@homestylefurnitureofastoria.com and we will investigate immediately.


Are prices displayed in my local currency?

All prices on our website are displayed and charged in United States Dollars (USD). If you are paying with a non-USD card, your bank or payment provider will convert the amount to your local currency at their prevailing exchange rate. Slight differences may apply due to conversion fees imposed by your financial institution.

How much does shipping cost?

We offer free shipping on all orders within the contiguous United States. There are no hidden handling or processing fees.


How long does delivery take?

  • Order Processing: Please allow 1–3 business days for us to process and prepare your order before shipment.
  • Standard Delivery: Once shipped, estimated delivery time is 5 to 15 business days, depending on your location and the carrier.

Please note that these are estimated timeframes. Delivery may be delayed due to carrier issues, weather, holidays, or other circumstances beyond our control.


Do you ship to my state or country?

We currently ship to addresses within the contiguous United States (the lower 48 states). We do not ship to Alaska, Hawaii, U.S. territories, P.O. boxes, or international addresses at this time.


How can I track my order?

Once your order ships, you will receive a shipping confirmation email containing a tracking number and a link to track your package. You can also:

  • Log in to your account on our website and view the order status under "My Orders."
  • Enter your tracking number directly on the carrier's website.

What if my package is lost or damaged during shipping?

If your package arrives damaged or appears to be lost, please contact us within 48 hours of the expected delivery date (or the date you received a damaged item) at info@homestylefurnitureofastoria.com. Please include:

  • Your order number.
  • Photos of the damaged packaging and product (if applicable).
  • A description of the issue.

We will work with the carrier to resolve the issue and arrange a replacement or refund as appropriate.


What is a freight delivery?

Oversized or heavy items (such as large sofas, dining tables, or sectional sets) are shipped via freight carrier rather than standard parcel carriers. For freight deliveries:

  • The carrier will contact you to schedule a delivery appointment before delivery.
  • A signature is typically required upon delivery.
  • Please inspect the item carefully at the time of delivery and note any visible damage on the delivery receipt before signing.

Are there customs fees or duties?

Since we ship within the contiguous United States, customs duties and import taxes do not apply to domestic orders.

How do I return an item?

To initiate a return:

  1. Contact us at info@homestylefurnitureofastoria.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and reason for return.
  2. Our team will review your request and, if approved, provide you with return instructions, a return authorization, and a prepaid return shipping label.
  3. Pack the item securely in its original packaging with all components and accessories.
  4. Ship the item back using the prepaid label provided.

Important: Do not send items back without first obtaining a return authorization from our team.


What is your return window?

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return. Return requests made after 30 days will not be accepted.


Is return shipping free?

Yes. We provide free return shipping on all orders. Once your return is approved, we will send you a prepaid return shipping label at no cost to you.


Are there any restocking fees?

No. We do not charge any restocking fees on returns. Your refund will cover the full purchase price of the returned item.


What items are eligible for return?

To be eligible for a return, items must be:

  • Unused, unassembled, and uninstalled.
  • In their original packaging with all original components, accessories, and documentation.
  • Free from damage caused by the customer.

Non-returnable items include:

  • Items that have been assembled, installed, or used.
  • Items without original packaging.
  • Clearance or final-sale items (clearly marked on the product page).
  • Items returned after the 30-day window.

Can I exchange an item for a different one?

Yes. If you would like to exchange your item for a different size, color, or product, please contact us at info@homestylefurnitureofastoria.com within 30 days of delivery with your order number and the item you would like in exchange. Our team will confirm availability and guide you through the exchange process.

The replacement item will be shipped once we receive and inspect the original item. The item being exchanged must meet the same eligibility requirements as a return — unused, unassembled, uninstalled, and in its original packaging.


How long does it take to receive my refund?

Once your return is received and inspected at our warehouse:

  • Approval notification will be sent within 3–5 business days of receipt.
  • Your refund will be processed to the original payment method within 10 business days of approval.

Please allow an additional 5–10 business days for the refund to appear on your bank or credit card statement, depending on your financial institution.


What if my item is defective or damaged?

If your item arrives defective or damaged:

  1. Contact us within 48 hours of delivery at info@homestylefurnitureofastoria.com.
  2. Provide your order number, photos of the damage or defect, and a brief description.
  3. We will arrange a free return pickup or prepaid return label and send a replacement or full refund at no additional cost to you.

Will I be refunded the original shipping cost?

Since we offer free shipping on all orders, there is no original shipping cost to refund.


Can I get a refund if my order was cancelled?

Yes. If your order is cancelled after payment has been processed, you will receive a full refund to your original payment method within 10 business days.

Do I need an account to place an order?

No. You can browse our catalog and place an order as a guest. However, creating an account allows you to:

  • Track your orders easily.
  • View your order history.
  • Save your shipping addresses for faster checkout.
  • Receive exclusive updates and promotions.

How do I create an account?

Click "Account" or "Sign Up" in the top navigation bar. Enter your name, email address, and create a password. You will receive a confirmation email to verify your account.


I forgot my password. How do I reset it?

  1. Go to the login page.
  2. Click "Forgot Password?"
  3. Enter the email address associated with your account.
  4. You will receive a password reset link via email. Follow the instructions to create a new password.

How do I update my personal information or addresses?

Log in to your account and navigate to "Account Settings" or "My Addresses." From there, you can update your:

  • Name and contact information.
  • Shipping and billing addresses.

How do I delete my account?

You may request account closure at any time by emailing info@homestylefurnitureofastoria.com. Please note that account closure does not cancel any pending orders or release you from obligations incurred prior to closure.


Products & Quality

Are your products authentic and genuine?

Yes. All products sold on our website are sourced from verified suppliers and are guaranteed to be 100% authentic. We stand behind the quality of every item we sell.


Do your products come with a warranty?

We do not currently offer a formal manufacturer warranty on our products. However, if your item arrives defective or damaged, we will provide a replacement or full refund in accordance with our Refunds & Returns Policy. Please inspect all items upon delivery and report any issues within 48 hours.


The product I received looks slightly different from the website. Why?

While we strive to display product images as accurately as possible, slight variations in color, texture, and dimensions may occur due to:

  • Differences in monitor or screen settings.
  • Natural material variations (e.g., wood grain, marble veining, fabric dye lots).
  • Manufacturing tolerances.

These variations are normal and do not constitute a defect.


How do I care for and maintain my furniture?

Care instructions vary by product and material. Specific care guidelines are included with your product or available on the product page. General tips include:

  • Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth.
  • Avoid placing items in direct sunlight for prolonged periods to prevent fading.
  • Use coasters and heat-resistant pads to protect surfaces.
  • Avoid using harsh chemical cleaners unless specifically recommended for the material.
